The legendary singer and recipient of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar passed away at the age of 92 on February 6, 2022. It’s been 10 days since the singer passed away but people are still not able to process the fact.
In her career of 7 decades, Lata, who’s also known as the Nightingale of India, dedicated her voice to over 30,000 songs in different languages. Her death was mourned by several people, not just in India but around the world. This itself proves that the veteran singer was not only loved in India but all over the world.
Recently, senior actor Dharmendra shared a clip on Instagram as he remembered Lata. The reel posted by Dharmendra shows a picture of the actor with the singer. A very famous song by Lata, Aap Ki Nazron Ne Samjha, plays in the background of the picture. The actor complemented the reel with an emotional note.
He wrote, “Lata ji, miss you. You will always be remembered with great love and respect. Pray for your soul to be in peace.” Dharmendra was very close to Lata since the past few years but had to miss the singer’s last rites. During an interview with a leading entertainment portal, the actor revealed that he was feeling uneasy ever since he heard of Lata’s death.
Lata Mangeshkar passed away on February 6 in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. The doctor revealed multiple organ failures to be the cause of the veteran singer’s death.
