Dragonflight 10.1 Adds Cross-Faction Guilds, New Zone, and More in May

0

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight only launched around four months ago, but Blizzard is already brewing up the expansion’s first big update. World of Warcraft ver. 10.1 will introduce an all-new zone, the fiery underground Zaralek Caverns, cross-faction guilds, new assaults to repel, and more. You can get a quick rundown of the new content coming in update 10.1, below.

  • New Zone: Zaralek Caverns – Gather your courage as you venture into this mysterious underground cavern.
  • Cross-Faction Guilds: Players who have been enjoying Cross-Faction Instances now can join the same guild as their opposite-faction friends and benefit from conveniences like shared chat and guild repairs.
  • Fyrrak Assaults: Fyrakk’s forces are gathering resources at Suffusion Camps located in the Azure Span and Ohn’ahran Plains. It’s up to the heroes of Azeroth to disrupt their efforts to lure Fyrrak and his disciples out into the open.
  • Meet New Allies: As the heroes of Azeroth pursue enemies into the deep dark dangers of Zaralek Cavern, they are aided by the local inhabitants found under the Dragon Isles — the molefolk known as “Niffen” and the Drogbar.

Ah, but that’s not all. Shortly after the launch of World of Warcraft 10.1, Blizzard will also kick off Dragonflight Season 2. The headliner of this Season is the new raid, “Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible,” which is set in a secret laboratory beneath the Zaralek Caverns. It sounds like this raid will be a meaty one, as Blizzard is promising players will take on nine bosses as they team up to set back the ambitions of the Incarnates and Scalecommander Sarkareth. A number of additional dungeons will also be joining the Mythic+ rotation, for those looking for a particularly daunting challenge.

You can get more details on Blizzard’s 2023 plans for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, right here. The roadmap includes two major updates, 10.1 that we’ve detailed above, and 10.2, which should arrive closer to the end of the year. Update 10.2 should offer similar content to this update, with another new zone, raid, expansion of the Mythic+ pool, and more.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight can be played on PC. Update 10.1 kicks off on May 2 and Dragonflight Season 2 will begin a week later on May 9.
