Dwarf Fortress which is a procedurally generated simulation roguelike game is now finally making its way to Steam. This title has been available for free from about 16 years by the two brothers Tarn and Zach Adams who has been consistently updating this game throughout this huge interval of time. But now, a revamped premium version of this title will be available to its fans via Steam and itch.io with the help of Kitfox Games.

Prior to this, Dwarf Fortress was a free game available for all in which players build a fortress to protect them from numerous dwarves. However, in the free version, the graphics were not so clear and it mostly contains text. But, this paid version will be coming with a well-detailed graphics and musical tracks which players can buy them from Steam. In addition to all these premium features, there will be a Steam workshop integration in the game for further mod support to the players. However, the free version will still exist and the one who wants to play on the free version they can continue.

This is a lifetime project of these two brothers with almost no end to it. And by launching the premium version of this game, Kitfox Games is helping them to bring their hard work to the marketplace. Still, this will be an independent project with Kitfox Games exists just like help from a friend. Meanwhile, there isn’t any information related to the date of the launch of this game. However, the company has launched an announcement trailer related to the premium version of this game which you can look below.
