Epic Games Store Free Games for Week 2 of January 2023 Include Kerbal Space Program and More; All You Need to Know

We have now arrived in 2023, but the free game frenzy has not stopped just yet. Sadly, Epic’s 15 free games for 15 days promotion has now stopped, but the platform is still following its trend of providing 2 free games each week.

The two free games for January 2023 week 2 have been announced and they include Kerbal Space Program and Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. The two free games will be available till January 12, 9:30 PM IST. One free game for next week has also been announced in First Class Trouble.

Kerbal Space Program

Kerbal Space Program is not your typical title, as it includes taking control of a space program for an alien race called Kerbal. Firstly, you will have to construct a functional spacecraft, that should be able to fly half decently. Here realistic aerodynamics and orbital physics come into play.

Then after you launch your Kerbals into space, it is your job to keep them safe and sound while they explore an array of moons and planets in the Kerbol solar system. You will also have to create HQs and space station along the way to expand your reach over the entire system.

Kerbal Space Program has 3 distinct game modes – Science Mode, Career Mode and Sandbox Mode. In Science Mode, you have to perform experiments to unlock new technology for your expeditions. In Career Mode, you take charge of everything that happens under the umbrella of the space program. In Sandbox Mode, you are free to build any type of spacecraft.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun

The next game is a perfect pick for tactical stealth enthusiasts. The game takes place during the Edo period in Japan. Here you will be in control of some of the deadliest assassins that move within the shadows. As it is a tactical title, you can choose how you approach castle infiltrations, monasteries and forest camps.

The group you are given is filled with diverse characters and you have to use each of their strengths in order to succeed. As you go on missions, these characters develop into stronger and smarter versions of themselves, when the difficulty of missions increase. Choosing your approach and character will be key in this game.
