Saturday was a busy day at the bottom of the Premier League, with Podence’s goal potentially huge in Wolves’ bid for safety.

Leeds United lost 4-1 at Arsenal, but Leicester City fumbled a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 at Crystal Palace in Roy Hodgson’s first game back at the club.

The Eagles’ first win of 2023 sent Leicester into the bottom three after AFC Bournemouth also came back from behind to beat Fulham 2-1.

Bournemouth are now up to the dizzying heights of 15th, level on points with Forest and one point behind Wolves.

Lopetegui will hope Podence is available to face Chelsea next Saturday.
