Team Nightfall has released a free demo for their large-scale mod of the original Dark Souls called Nightfall before its full launch.
It’s been quite hard for the Dark Souls fans to wait for the arrival of Elden Ring since its official announcement back in 2019.

While many players tried to find similar experiences from other studios, some talented teams started working on quality Dark Souls mods, one of which is very close to full launch.

Dark Souls Nightfall Will Be Released After Elden Ring’s Launch
Project Nightfall is a fan-made sequel for the original Dark Souls that has been in development for a while now.
The team behind this huge mod has promised a new world, a new combat system, and a new storyline. So, if you have any doubts about the quality of this mod, you can now download the demo version of it which is available for free.
The demo file size is a bit over 1 GB. It will feature two areas of the full mod as well as new combat mechanics and weapons. As it’s only a demo, you should expect some bugs, and maybe technical issues while playing, but what’s most important for the developers is to provide your feedback on how good or bad you find new additions.
Currently, Team Nightfall is planning to launch the full mod sometime after the release of Elden Ring, but an exact release date is yet to be revealed.
As claimed by the developers, Dark Souls Nightfall will prevent your game from connecting to the official Dark Souls servers, which apparently removes the chances of getting banned by the publisher
That being said, we strongly suggest you considering the consequences of installing the mod on your official game.
