Fetty Wap shares devastating tribute to ‘twin’ brother who died

Fetty Wap revealed heartbreaking news Friday that his “twin” brother died.

“I love you lil bro my twin … R.I.P,” Fetty Wap, who’s real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, captioned a photo of he and his brother standing side by side at a children’s play place.

The 29-year-old “Trap Queen” artist apologized for having “failed” his brother, who he did not identify in the post. It’s unclear how the man died.

Fetty Wap wrote that he keeps trying to call his brother but it keeps going straight to voicemail.

“I love you lil bro I really thought I could get you out before I ever had to make a post like this lil bro like wtf,” he wrote.

USA TODAY has reached out to Fetty Wap’s representatives for comment.

In now-deleted Instagram Stories, the “My Way” artist asked people to stop asking if he was OK, according to People and BET.

“I’m not OK,” Fetty Wap wrote.

The artist added that he doesn’t know what he’ll tell his nephew when he asks “why I ain’t make sure you was OK.”
