Domestic e-commerce giant Flipkart on Friday has unveiled its first smartphone dubbed as Billion Capture+ in India. The company says that the Capture+ has been developed keeping in mind the needs of consumers of Indian, and is ‘Made in India’.
The Billion Capture+ has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 10,999 for 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant and Rs. 12,999 for 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The smartphone will be made available in Mystic Black and Desert Gold colour options. Flipkart says that the Billion Capture+ smartphone will be supported by the pan India after-sales service network of F1 Info Solutions, which is now owned by Flipkart.
The Billion Capture+ will be available from November 15 from the e-commerce platform and launch offers including No Cost EMI and discounts on select debit/credit cards
Talking about specifications, the Billion Capture+ runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system with a promise to upgrade to Android Oreo. It sports a 5.5” full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with401ppi pixel density and 2.5D Dragontrail glass on top. The smartphone is powered by up to 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It offers 3GB of RAM + 32GB of storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage which is further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The main highlight of the smartphone is its dual-rear camera setup which includes a 13MP RGB sensor and 13MP monochrome sensor, the combination of both sensors offering features like bokeh shots offering the depth of field effect. It comes with portrait mode shots offering blur background highlights. It also comes with dual LED flash for better lowlight capturing. On the front, there is an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone is fueled by a 3500mAh battery which is claimed to offer two-days of battery life. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, and micro USB port. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back.
Commenting on the launch of its first smartphone, Sachin Bansal, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Flipkart said, “The features in the Capture+ have been derived from deep data-mining of millions of Flipkart customers’ reviews. Few true dual camera phones offer this combination of flagship features. We’re sure this customer-centricity will delight Indian smartphone buyers.”
