Fossil has announced its latest smartwatch dubbed as Fossil Sport, in the US. The main highlight of the smartwatch is the latest launch Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC which promises to give a longer battery life, the company claims that has an all-day battery life. After Montblanc Summit 2, Fossil Sport is the second Smartwatch powered by the Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform
The Fossil Sport Smartwatch is powered by the latest Wear OS platform, and it is available in two dial sizes – 41mm and 43mm, it also offers customizable dials and a number of watch faces to satisfy your preferences. Aside from that, it offers 28 interchangeable silicone straps as well, and you have six different color options – gray, pink, red, blue, green, and black.
The Fossil Sport Smartwatch is built with a swimproof design, it supports Google Pay, GPS for activity tracking, heart rate sensor for fitness purposes, NFC, Altimeter, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. Its connectivity options include Bluetooth version 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones, it works best with Android OS 4.4 Kit Kat and above, or iOS 9.3 and above.
Fossil says that the Fossil Sport can last for up to a day, and can extend up to two days and when in low power mode, thanks to the new Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC. As the smartwatch runs on the new Wear OS platform, the Fossil Sport smartwatch supports Google Assistant for voice assistance, and comes preloaded with Spotify and Noonlight.
It is now available for about $255 (roughly Rs. 18,500) for the silicone and leather strap, and $275 (roughly Rs. 20,000) for the stainless steel strap.
