You should also bear in mind that many public spaces and entertainment venues in France require health passes, called “pass sanitaire”.

These passes document your health status and are needed to get into venues, including bars, restaurants, museums, cinemas, and some forms of public transport.

To obtain a pass sanitaire you will need a negative Covid test taken within the last 24 hours, proof of your vaccination or proof you have recovered from Covid within the last six months.

For certain age groups, you will also need to have had a booster vaccination to count as fully vaccinated on the pass sanitaire.
