Giants’ CJ Board carted off with neck injury following scary hit vs. Washington

Giants wide receiver CJ Board is currently being evaluated for a neck injury.

A scary hit up around the head caused the wide receiver to drop a pass in the third quarter, but Board seemed to be out cold just as he hit the turf. Fox would report that Board was diagnosed with a concussion and a sprained neck and would be transported to a local hospital.

Medical staff carted Board off the field after removing the facemask on his helmet. Board seemed to roll onto his back just after the play, but laid motionless as he was transported off the field.

Fox reported that Board underwent X-rays at MetLife Stadium, and was ruled out for the rest of the game.

Board, 27, spent some time with Jacksonville before signing with the Giants in 2020. Through five games, Board had six receptions and 58 yards.
