[highlight color=”orange”][/highlight]On Thursday, Gionee has launched a new smartphone in its A-series aka ‘selfie-centric smartphones’ series, called the Gionee A1 lite, the phone priced at NPR 26,999 ($265 / Rs. 17,000 approx). As of now the new smartphone is available in Nepal only in Gold and Red colors variants.
The Gionee A1 lite sports all metal uni-body design with a finger print scanner on back just below the rare camera, on the it covered with 2.5D curved glass, beneath the display, the device features three capacitive navigation buttons. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge, while on the left edge is the SIM card slot.
The Gionee A1 lite runs on Amigo 4.0 UI based on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and sports a 5.3” HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor coupled with Mali-T720 GPU and offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be further expandable via MicroSD card.
Coming on the main highlight of the smartphone, the Gionee A1 lite features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash. On the front there is a 20MP selfie camera with wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture, there is a bonus for all selfie lovers the front camera also having LED flash for talking better selfies.
The phones support dual-SIM dual standby and supports VoLTE, other connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambiance and proximity sensor, magnetometer, and orientation. The phone is powered by a 4,000mAh battery which according to the company will offer around 295 hours of standby time.
