From today onwards, Google Chrome 73 started rolling out the much-awaited Chrome 73 for MacOS, Windows, and Linux. However, the main feature of this update, i.e, the dark mode is now only available for Mac users and it still waiting to release on other platforms. Apart from this, Google also pushed the support for multimedia keys on Chrome 73.
Although most of the update released in Chrome 73 were developer centric updates, however, there are still some features rolled out in this update on which users can try their hand on them. The mush awaited dark mode will be now automatically switched by the browser itself if the MacOS is running on the dark theme. However, the user can manually switch to dark mode permanently from the Chrome setting.
As mentioned above, Chrome 73 now supports multimedia keys playback directly from the keyboard itself which let you to control playback for both music and video on Chrome. In addition, users can also install some Progressive Web Apps (PWA) by clicking the three dot available on the Chrome browser. These PWA apps are the websites which can run as an individual app on the OS. This feature will be available on Chrome on all the major platforms including Android, ChromeOS. iOS, Linux, MacOS, and Windows.
The Chrome 73 update is already pushed by Google and is now available for most of the users. If you haven’t got the update, make sure you are running on the latest version or manually upgrade your Chrome browser using built-in updater.
