Google Clock gets Musical Alarms via Spotify

Google is going to launch Spotify-powered music alarm making it little easier for those who find to bear ringing alarms displeasing to wake up with. The team Google-Spotify has brought the useful function for Android users providing the users to use favorite songs in place of age-old alarms.

The alarm could be availed as the user has to open the Clock app, connect and authenticate Spotify account and select any track, album, artist, or playlist could be selected from company provided catalogue for premium Spotify account and for those who want to use the free version of Spotify there is shuffle mode

Those who love music would embrace the feature and for those who are not music lovers would adopt it for a change. For the music lovers, the new Clock app would continue with music by Spotify even after the alarm is switched off.

The new feature will be rolled out globally this week on the Play Store and will be available on all devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop and above, said Google. Google and Spotify would be gain from the new feature as Google gets better Clock app while Spotify app would be downloaded by users.

This feature will work with Android Lollipop and does not even require a Spotify premium account to use. The update begins rolling out this week points TechCrunch.

Android official twitter handle tweeted, “Start your day with @Spotify and the Clock app from Google, rolling out now. To make waking up a little easier, help us build a morning playlist by commenting with your favorite tune.”
