Google is adding Find My Device and Fast Pair features in Headphones

0

At I/O 2019, Google announced a series of features to improve the Bluetooth devices on Android. And now, the company has released the list of headphones that are going to have the brand new features and support.

The biggest update is said to be arriving “later this year” and will add deeper support for truly wireless headphones. Those headphones which support the fast-pair will eventually be able to show the individual battery life data for the case and each earbud independently. Not only this, but it will also pop-up that information each time you open or close the case.

Fast Pair headphones will also start appearing in Google’s Find My Device app “soon”, making it easier to track down a missing pair of headphones in the future. In addition, it will also help you to unpair or ring the missing buds.

Last but not least, Google is adding a new UI in Android Q for managing Fast Pair-enabled headphones that will put device management features, Google Assistant settings, battery life, and links to third-party management apps all in one place.

Google also provided a specific list of additional Fair Pair headphones that it showcased at Google I/O earlier this year that will also support the feature. Take a look at the list of these headphones.
