Ahead of the official launch on October 4, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL specs leaked online. The leak suggests that the new Pixel duo will feature an E-SIM card slot, like the Apple Watch Series 3 which allows you to connect to different networks without the need to replace a SIM card.
The Pixel duo will run on Android 8.0 operating system. The Pixel 2 will feature Full-HD display while the Pixel 2 XL will sports a QHD display which will sport a wide color gamut. Both the smartphone comes with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The duo is powered by 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC Qualcomm which is seeing most of 2017’s flagship devices. Both the smartphones will ship with a set of dual stereo speakers and there will be no 3.5mm audio jack, there will be a USB-C headphones in the box. The Pixel 2 will be fueled by a 2,700mAh battery while Pixel 2 XL is fueled by a 3,520mAh battery.
Other features include, both devices will ship with IP67 certification for water and dust resistance, and there will be HTC’s squeezable feature dubbed Active Edge it will wake up the Google Assistant or to mute incoming calls or alarms. The Pixel smartphone will also going to come with unlimited Google Cloud storage until 2023, it is unclear that if it’s only for photos/videos or any file.
