‘Got so bad’ Gabby Logan’s terror her children would discover false co-star affair claims | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV
Gabby Logan, 49, was rocked by vile false accusations she had an affair with her fellow sports pundit Alan Shearer, 52, back in 2011. As her children were growing up, she feared they would stumble across the stories online.
The former gymnast has been married to retired rugby player Kenny Logan, 50, since 2001.
They share two children together – twins Reuben and Lois, 16.
As the sick claims Gabby and ex-footballer Alan were involved in an extramarital affair spread on social media, the Welsh presenter said she “had to act”, addressing the rumours in a public statement.
She revealed: “In the end, though, it got so bad we had to act.
Gabby has previously been open about her difficulties getting pregnant, revealing Kenny supported her through her IVF treatment.
“It was probably three years from trying naturally to having IVF,” she told Andrea Byrne on the podcast Making Babies.
“The whole process of the IVF was stressful, we treated it like a sports schedule. I was trying to see it as a treatment, almost.”
During the treatment, Gabby suffered a miscarriage scare while Kenny was away.
The sports commentator continued: “Then, on how many days after I was supposed to be getting a blood test, I bled that day and I decided that was it and I wasn’t having a baby.
“Kenny was in Glasgow and wasn’t able to come with me.
“The doctor said, ‘Go and get your blood test done anyway.’
“I woke up and there was blood but there was enough for me to decide that was it – but we found out that I was pregnant and I didn’t have a miscarriage.”
