Halo: The Master Chief Collection Get The Major Update

We all know that Halo: The Master Chief Collection had its “not so stable” history, and a year ago, it seems that 343 Industries just had enough for fixing and updating this game. But, believe it or not, 343 has announced that they will have their come back to the game for another journey. It has been in a lot of years of testing, and just today, the newest fresh patch is now available with a lot of new changes just like:

  • 4k and HDR for all Xbox One X games, equipped with settings menu to customize the HDR resolution
  • Optimization for Matchmaking
  • New and reworked playlists for game flexibility, play the game type you want in a game you want. There will be 14 playlists, but only one for each game is available until enough people have downloaded the game for moderation purposes.
  • Offline LAN play
  • Intelligent Delivery
  • Better language options
  • Faster loading

This update patch will come in at around 73 GB, so make sure you have a large HDD before downloading as this will eat up most of your empty space. Because the game’s population have grown enough which can be credited to Xbox Game pass, we can look forward to new playlists being added soon as we have mentioned earlier that the playlists will be temporarily limited and moderated. These are some of the playlists that we can look forward to:

Social Playlists

  • Team Slayer (H1 – H4 Team Slayer)*
  • Action Sack*
  • Crossplay BTB (H1 / H2C & H2A / H4)*
  • Halo: CE Team Arena
  • Halo 3 BTB

Ranked Playlists

  • Halo: CE Team Doubles
  • Halo 2 Team Arena
  • Halo 2 Team Hardcore
  • Halo 2: Anniversary Team Arena
  • Halo 3 Team Doubles

In terms of its new offline LAN feature, here is the guide provided by 343. “In order to setup offline LAN play on MCC, a DHCP enabled hub will be required – these hubs allow IP addresses to be assigned to connected consoles. Alternatively, you can also manually configure the IP addresses for each Xbox via the System Settings for each console on the network. Either way, each Xbox needs to have a unique identity with a network configuration that allows it to route packets.”
