The Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) has postponed Anjuman Islam’s Harris Shield match by a day after 10 players from their squad were found overage. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has made medical tests mandatory for all inter-school cricket competitions.

Accordingly, the TW3 bone tests were conducted on players from all 16 teams participating in the U-16 Harris Shield which is scheduled to begin today. “Since 10 players from Anjuman have been found overage, their match will start a day later. A fresh set of 10 players will take the bone test again and only after they clear it, the team can enter the competition,” an MSSA official told mid-day on Monday.

Players of nine other schools have been found overage—six from Antonio Da Silva, four from Al Barkaat, three from VK Krishna Menon Academy, two each from Don Bosco (Matunga), Rizvi Springfield and Saraswati Mandir while one player each from Bombay Scottish, Swami Vivekanand (Kandivli) and VPM Vidyamandir (Dahisar).
