There’s 60 games in all
Ever since the thing debuted, I’ve wanted a full Sega Genesis Mini 2 list of games — and now we have one, with an October 22 release date.
The retro mini console follow-up will contain Genesis and Sega CD games, as well as ports that haven’t been released before, and a few surprises. Devi & Pii is a unique one, as Sega reminds us that Takashi Iizuka developed it in 1993, before they worked on Sonic 3. Fantasy Zone is a new port (from the team who worked on Darius for the original Genesis Mini), Space Harrier II + Space Harrier has a sprite zoom mechanic, Spatter and Star Mobile are considered “hobby ports” from M2, Star Mobile will be released officially for the first time, and Vs Puyo Puyo Sun is considered a “demake,” with only versus mode, and new game rules.
