After announcing the Nokia 6 (2018) earlier this month, HMD Global all set to unveil something awesome at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona which will be held later in February. It is expected that HMD Global could unveil Nokia 9 at MWC 2018 along with Nokia 1 Android Go and other devices.
HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas said in a tweet that the company has been super busy planning for the Mobile World Congress and at the end of the tweet, he said, “please expect it to be awesome”. The tweet reads, “Sorry for radio silence. Been super busy planning #MWC2018. Please expect it to be awesome”.
Sadly, Juho Sarvikas did not unveil any name of the devices getting unveiled in the MWC 2018. But from the previous leaks, the company could reveal Nokia 9, Nokia 1 Android Go and a revamped Nokia 8. The company is also expected to showcase the 4G variant of the Nokia 3310 feature phone.
At last year’s Mobile World Congress event in February, the company unveiled the Nokia 3, 5, and 6 in addition to the 2G variant of the redesigned Nokia 3310.

For optics, the Nokia 9 will come with dual rear cameras but in a 12MP + 13MP configuration. For selfies, it packs a rather modest 5MP sensor. The Nokia 9 will be fueled by a 3250mAh battery which 18W fast charging support. The smartphone is also said to house a fingerprint scanner and will also feature an Iris Scanner as well. Further, the Nokia 9 will have IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.
