Hollow Knight Silksong has got another trailer during the latest Xbox showcase and it arrives on Xbox Game Pass Day One, but we still don’t have a release date.

Announced back in 2019, it has been quite a bumpy ride for Hollow Knight Silksong. Initially, the game was supposed to be a mere DLC that will be adding a playable hunter to the game, Hornet. However, the game’s success in the subsequent years made Team Cherry change their direction, and Silksong was turned into a full-blown sequel instead. Hornet was the princess-protector of Hallownest in the base game, and players had quite a tough time fighting it.

In the sequel, players will be playing as Hornet itself, who is captured and taken to a whole new kingdom haunted by silk and song. The sequel expands on the previous game, by adding 150 new enemy types, new locations comprising of coral forests, mossy grottos, gilded cities and misted moors, and a plethora of other stuff. Since the initial reveal, players are just waiting to hear more about the game.

After a long wait, we have finally heard more about Hollow Knight Silksong in the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, or probably not. As soon as rumors started making rounds about Hollow Knight Silksong being a part of the Xbox Showcase, fans thought they would finally get a release date. However, the only information the reveal contained was the fact that it will be available on Xbox Game Pass on Day One.

It seems like the rumors about development problems at Team Cherry wasn’t wrong after all. It was reported that the team was seriously hit by the pandemic which hampered their problems to quite an extent. It remains to be seen when the game actually ends up releasing.
