Piers Morgan, 56, has done many things during his lifetime, and 2022 was the year he finally got to attend the Super Bowl. But by watching his first ever game in person, he was stunned at the size of the US stadiums that are capable of holding the annual world-famous event.

The former Good Morning Britain star shared his experience so far on Instagram, as he attended the game with his son Bertie.

He shared a snap of the pair holding a branded Super Bowl cardboard frame outside of the Sofi Stadium in LA, but nothing could have prepared him for the vastness of its interior.

Upon taking their seats, he videod the arena and was left speechless.

“Holy c**p,” he penned, as he scanned the surroundings.

This year’s show performers are Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar, and it seems viewers are more that ready for it.

While the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals are ready to compete for a ring, fans are ready to relive their younger days with a throw-back to old-school R&B.

One wrote on Twitter: “No one cares about the game tonight. Only the halftime show #SuperBowl #SuperBowlHalftimeShow.”

“I am so pumped! The halftime show is gonna be so [fire]. It’s like I’m 15 again #superbowl SuperBowlHalftimeShow,” exclaimed a second.

A third added: “I can’t wait to dance around my basement like I was in high school again! 90’s kid and hearing all this music this evening will bring back so many memories with high school friends. #SuperBowlHalftimeShow.”

While a fourth said: “It’s gonna be the BEST HIP-HOP concert I’ll ever witness til date #SuperBowlHalftimeShow #SuperBowl.”

160 million viewers are estimated to tune into the 2022 game, with the halftime show stealing centre stage for many.

The five artists have a combined total of 43 Grammys and 22 Billboard no.1 albums to their names.
