Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has today launched Its latest mid-range smartphones – The Honor 8X, in India. The smartphone feature glass-finish back panel and have dual rear camera setup. Some of the interesting features of the smartphone include Dolby Atmos surround sound backed by stereo speakers, TUV Rheinland-certified blue light protection, and artificial intelligence (AI) powered features to deliver enhanced imaging experience. The Honor 8X will become Honor’s first smartphone in India to be powered by Huawei’s latest HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC. Notably, the Honor 8X along with Honor 8X Max was launched in China last month.
Honor 8X Price and Availability
Honor 8X comes with the price tag of Rs. 14,999 For 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage variant, Rs. 16999 for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage option and finally Rs. 18,999 for the top end 6GB RAM with 128GB storage option. The smartphone will be available to purchase exclusively via Amazon India starting from October 24. It will be made available in Blue and Black colour options.
Honor 8X Specifications
The Honor 8X runs on EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. It sports a 6.5” Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) 19:5:9 TFT IPS display with a pixel density of 397ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz HiSilicon Kirin 710F octa-core processor coupled with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. It offers 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 64GB/128GB internal storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 400GB via microSD card.
For photography, the Honor 8X comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 20MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and 2MP secondary camera to capture depth information. It features 480 fps slow-mo recording and LED flash support for better lowlight capturing. On the front, it has 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
The Honor 8X is fuelled by a 3750mAh with fast charging support. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB 2.0 port. Sensors onboard include an ambient light sensor, compass, gravity sensor, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back. It measures 160.4×76.6×7.8mm and weighs 175 grams.
