Honor View 20 Launched with Kirin 980 SoC and Display Hole Selfie Camera: Price, Specifications and More
Honor has today launched its latest flagship smartphone dubbed as Honor View 20, in Paris. The smartphone is the global variant of the Honor V20 launched in China last month. The main highlights of the smartphone include a punch-hole selfie camera design placed on the top left edge of the smartphone and a dual rear camera setup at the back which include a 48MP Sony IMX586 Primary sensor. Other highlights of the smartphone are HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, a 25MP selfie shooter, 4,000mAh battery, and Link Turbo technology. Link Turbo is a technology designed to improve network connectivity on your device by intelligently switching between LTE and Wi-Fi or even combining both if the need arises.
Honor View 20 Price and Availability
Honor View 20 comes with the price tag of €569 or £499 ($ 646 /Rs. 46,100 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage option. There is also a MOSCHINO Edition with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage option prices at €649 or £579 ($ 737 / Rs. 52,500 approx.). The smartphone will be made available in Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black colour option and the MOSCHINO Edition will be available Phantom Blue and Phantom Red colour options. The Honor View 20 will be available starting Wednesday, January 23 in 18 countries. Indian launch will be held on January 29.
Honor View 20 Specifications
The Honor View 20 runs on Magic UI 2.0.1 based on Android 9.0 Pie operating system. Its sports a 6.4” full-HD+ (1080×2310 pixels) 19.5:9 TFT LCD display with 91.82 percent screen-to-body ratio and 398ppi pixel density. The smartphone is powered by the Huawei’s latest 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa-core processor (2 x Cortex A76 2.6 GHz + 2 x Cortex A76 1.92 GHz + 4 x Cortex A55 1.8 GHz) coupled with 720 MHz ARM Mali-G76MP10 GPU. It also supports GPU Turbo 2.0 technology for supporting intense gaming sessions and liquid cooling. It offers 6GB/8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB of internal storage and 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 256GB storage. There is no SD card support for storage expansion.
For photography, the Honor View 20 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 960fps slow-motion video recording support, autofocus, AI HDR, and ToF (Time of Flight) 3D secondary camera to capture the depth information and features such as slimming subjects in pictures and creating 3D avatars. On the front, it has a 25MP selfies shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Other camera features include AI photo, night scene, portrait, fun AR, time-lapse photography, slow-motion, and more.
The Honor View 20 is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging support. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS (L1 + L5 dual band), NFC, and USB Type-C port.
