HTC U11 Life is the second smartphone that the company has launched today. Expanding its U series portfolio, the company has added a lower-tier model that incorporates some of the design elements and features including EdgeSense from the U11, but at a lower price. The device comes with the price tag of $349 (Rs. 22,500 approx.)
HTC U11 Life comes in variants – HTC sense and Android One, the HTC sense variant runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with HTC’s UI overlay on top. The second is Android One variant runs on the stock version of Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. The HTC U11 Life is made out of metal and glass, while it sports three capacitive keys below its display, and unlike its bigger sibling, it comes with a front-facing fingerprint scanner.
Talking about specifications, the HTC U11 life sports a 5.2” full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels)Super LCD display with 424 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. It offers 3GB /4GB of RAM and 32GB /64GB of respective internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.
For photography, the HTC U11 Life comes with a 16MP primary camera with BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and LED flash, it is capable to capture slow-motion video and 4K video recording. On the front, there is another 16MP front-facing camera.
The smartphone is fueled by a 2,600mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support which is claiming to give 13-17 hours of usage time or up to 672 hours of standby. HTC U11 Plus is an IP67 certification device for water and dust-resistance. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and USB Type-C . Sensors on board include Edge sense, ambient light, proximity, motion G, gyro, compass, magnetic, sensor hub. It measures 149.09 x 72.9 x 8.1 mm and weight 142 grams.
