HTC U11 Plus with 18:9 6.0” Display and Upgraded Edge Sense Lunched
HTC has finally launched the HTC U11+ – an upgraded version of its 2017’s flagship smartphone, the new flagship from HTC features a bigger display with 18:9 bezel-less design and upgraded EdgeSense technology. It comes in Ceramic Black, Amazing Silver, and Translucent color options.
The HTC U11+ comes with the price tag of €799 (Rs. 60100 approx.) while the company didn’t confirm the availability of the smartphone. The main highlight of the smartphone is its 6” display with 18:9 bezel-less design, improved EdgeSense technology, wireless charging, and IP68-certification – which users a higher level of reassurance that the IP67. The U11+supports the latest in wireless audio tech with Bluetooth 5, Qualcomm’s AptX HD, and Sony’s LDAC all making it onto the feature list.
Talking about technical specifications, the HTC U11+ runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with HTC Sense on top and sports a 6.0” QHD+ (1440x2880pixels) Super LCD6 display with Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The smartphone is powered by a 2.45GHz 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. It offers 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of respective internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.
For photography, the HTC U11+ features a 12MP UltraPixel 3 OIS camera with an f/1.7 aperture, 1.4µm pixels, UltraSpeed autofocus, and a dual-LED flash. It records 1080P videos at 120fps, and 4K recording with Hi-Res audio. On the front, there is an 8MP front-facing camera with 85-degree field-of-view, f/2.0 aperture, and 1080p video recording.
The HTC U11+ is fueled by a 3,930mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS + AGPS, GLONASS and USB Type-C. It supports Cat.15 LTE, with maximum peak download speeds of 800Mbps (and 150Mbps uploads). There also a fingerprint scanner at the back. The device measures 158.5 x 74.9 x 8.5 mm and weighs 188 grams.
