After launching Huawei Maimang 6 in China last week, company has now launched the same smartphone in Malaysia dubbed as ‘Nova 2i’. Huawie is also expected to launch the device in India and other markets as ‘Huawei Mate 10 Lite’.
The Huawei Nova 2i is priced at MYR 1,299 (Rs. 20083 approx) and will go on sale starting October 13th in Malaysia in Graphite Black, Prestige Gold, and Aurora Blue color options. The main highlight of the smartphone is the MaxView display with 18:9 aspect ratio and four camera setup –two at the rare and two at the front. Noteably is is the first smartphone from Huawei to feature feature a 5.9” MaxView display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
Huawei Nova 2i Specifications
The Huawei Nova2i runs on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and sports a 5.9” full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio with 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by up to 2.36GHz octa-core 16nm Kirin 659 SoC coupled with Mali T830 MP2 GPU. It offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
As mentioned above the Huawei Nova2i comes with four cameras, There is a 16MP + 2MP dual camera setup with auto-focus on the rear and a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup with fixed focus on the front. Both rare and front cameras come along with the support of LED flash for better low light capturing.
The Huawei Nova2i is fueled by a 3340mAh non-removable battery with SuperCharge fast charging technology which is claim to to give up to 20 hours of talk time and lasts up to up to 550 hours on standby mode. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, A-GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device below the dual camera setup. It measures 156.2×75.2×7.5mm, and weighs 164 grams.
