On Wednesday Huawei added another member in its Y smartphone series, ‘Y7’ is The new smartphone from Huawei, the main highlight of the smartphone is massive 4000 mAH battery and EMUI 5.1, the pricing and the availability of the phone is not confirmed by the company, Y7 will be available in Grey, Prestige Gold, and Silver colour options.
“EMUI 5.1 provides an in-depth customization and refreshing new interpretation of Android 7.0 [Nougat]. With a brand new redesigned interface, over 90-percent of core operations can be completed in just 3 steps. And new features like Eye Comfort Mode helps you filter out blue light and provides relief to visual fatigue,” the company says on its website.
Talking about specification, the Huawei Y7 is a hybrid dual-SIM phone which runs on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, Y7 sports a 5.5” HD (720×1280 pixels) display covered with 2.5D glass. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, which is coupled with Adreno 505 GPU and offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The Huawei Y7 seems decent in the department of photography as well, it comes with a 12MP rear camera with 1.25 μm pixel sensor and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) along with LED flash, and on the front side there is an 8MP camera at for taking selfies. For the connectivity, the phone offers options including 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0, GPS/GLONASS. The sensors on the Y7 include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, compass, and an accelerometer.
The Huawei Y7 packed with a 4000mAh battery which claims to offer 20 hours of video playback or up to 15 hours of internet browsing. The handset measures 153.6×76.4×8.35mm and weighs around 165 grams.
