The purchase cost Grant an eye-watering £2million, but regardless the actor held onto the painting for six years.

In 2007, he went on to sell “the Liz Taylor” as he described it, and made a staggering £11million profit.

This is not the only pricey purchase the actor has made a profit on, as his property portfolio spans across the globe and has earned him a fair few pennies over the years.

Hello Magazine reported that in 2002 Grant purchased a £3.25million apartment in South Kensington, and sold it a year later for £3.5million, allegedly making a £250,000 profit.

The outlet also noted the Notting Hill actor owns a home in the town of the same name, which he purchased for £10million in 2016.
