Ruth Langsford, 61, has told husband Eamonn Holmes sternly that should he hook up with any of her friends when she dies, she would come back to haunt him. The star issued the warning during a discussion on Loose Women earlier today about how soon was too soon to move on after grieving a partner or at the end of a relationship.

The presenter and her cohort of panellists agreed that everyone moved on according to their own pace.

However, when it came to her own situation, Ruth jokingly made clear to Eamonn that if she should die, she would not be happy if he went for any of the presenter’s pals.

She spoke to Eamonn, even though the ITV host wasn’t present, and looking at the camera, said: “Although I will say, Eamonn if you end up with any of my friends I will come back and I will haunt you both!”

Eamonn and Ruth began dating in the late 1990s and tied the knot in 2010.

Ruth recently explained that Eamonn has helped her to come to accept parts of herself that she hasn’t previously liked.

She said to Closer magazine last year: “I definitely feel sexy at 60, but a big part of this is thanks to my husband.”

The pair, who share a son together, used to work side by side on This Morning.

Last year, Eamonn announced he would be leaving the ITV show, and moving on to GB News.

“I just have issues with why they can’t tell you your time is up.”

He added: “Just have a conversation, any conversation.”

After her husband announced he was separating from the broadcaster, Ruth confirmed in an interview with Best magazine that she has decided to remain at ITV.

“I’m still at ITV with This Morning and Loose Women,” she said, before expressing that she is “thrilled” for Eamonn.
