Infinix is set to expand its Smart series of smartphones in India as the company has announced a new addition to this lineup. The company has shared a post on Twitter to announce that the Infinix Smart 6 device will launch in India on April 27. This smartphone was launched globally in October 2021 and will succeed the Smart 5 handset that is already available in India. The global variant came with a 6.6-inch display that supports peak brightness up to 500 nits, is powered by a Unisoc SC9863A chipset, sports a 13MP primary rear camera and packs a 5000mAh battery unit.
Infinix Smart 6 expected price and availability
The Infinix Smart 6 smartphone is expected to be available in a single 2GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. Being a part of the sub Rs 10,000 segment, the upcoming handset is likely to be priced around Rs 8,999 in India. The smartphone will launch exclusively on the e-tailer site Flipkart and will also be available on the company’s official website. The smartphone may come out in four different colour options — Purple, Ocean Blue, Light Sea Green and Polar Black.
Infinix Smart 6 expected specifications
The Infinix Smart 6 mobile is expected to arrive in India with the same design and specifications as the global variant. The upcoming smartphone is likely to sport a 6.6-inch HD+ display that will support a peak brightness of 500 nits.
The device may come powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A processor backed with up to 2GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card. The phone will also be equipped with support for Virtual RAM.
The upcoming handset is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup. The square camera island in the back is likely to house an 8MP primary sensor, a depth sensor, an LED flashlight and the last one will just be there for symmetry. The device will also carry a 5MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. The rear panel of the smartphone will also include a fingerprint scanner. The Infinix Smart 6 will pack a 5000mAh battery unit that will support 10W charging through a micro-USB port.
