Popular photo-sharing app, Instagram has introduced a new schedule posts feature for business users. With the help of Instagram schedule posts feature, business users can now schedule posts through various social media software platforms including Hootsuite, Sprout Social or SocialFlow etc.
The new schedule posts feature has been incorporated with the in the Instagram Graph API which will allow various social media applications to access the feature. Notably, schedule post feature will only work with a third party social media platform as the native Instagram app is not supported this feature.
The new Graph API also added the previous API features like view organic insights and comment moderation. These added features allow business users for better content planning and secure account management, removing the need for employees to share login credentials to gain account access to insights or create a post.
Instagram, in its blog post, said, “Last year, we began the process of updating the Instagram API to the Instagram Graph API, built on the Facebook Graph API. This change helps businesses manage their organic presence more effectively. Today, we’re introducing new features to the API.”
Additionally, According to a separate news, Instagram is also testing a new video calling feature. You will soon be able to make video calls directly in Instagram chat.
