Instagram’s New Story-like ‘Tap to See Next Post’ Interface Going on Tests

0

Instagram is testing a new feature to advance through photos just by tapping through posts, just like what you would do on Stories. Tapping through posts is meant to eliminate the bothering experience of scrolling, while also displaying the entirety of every post in one tap which ensures an easier way of use.

Instead of using your finger to scroll up and down through the Instagram feed which could be a bit bothersome, you only need to tap on either side of the interface to advance forwards and backwards between posts. Users can also see a full-screen media post rather than having to bother with scrolling just to get the perfect amount to see an entire post.

Even though the test is currently being conducted in the Explore tab, Instagram has no further plans yet to implement the feature in the main feed. The scope of the supported users for its rollout is not yet confirmed.

As the tests will continue, Instagram might still see some rooms for improvements on this new feature, and its core purpose might still change.  So be sure to stay with TechnoCodex and we will bring you its latest updates.
