Intel has unveiled, what it claims is the World’s Fastest Desktop Processor in the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900KS, with its standout feature being the max turbo frequency of up to 6.0 GHz.
With 6.0 GHz at the disposal of the user, Intel becomes the first chip manufacturer to cross this major milestone, and players now have the ultimate power to run their favorite games and software at a high clip.
The chip is able to reach 6.0 GHz of turbo frequency, thanks to Intel’s Thermal Velocity Boost. The technology allows for “extra CPU performance when thermal headroom and turbo power budget are available.” Other than that, with the Intel Adaptive Boost Technology. you can increase the “all-core turbo frequency beyond previous Turbo Boost clock speeds.” This helps improve performance during tasks such as gaming.
The 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900KS comes with 24 cores, with 8 of them being P-Cores (Performance-Cores), while the remaining 16 are E-Cores (Efficient-Cores). Along with 32 threads and 150W base processor power, the chip allows provides 36MB Intel Smart Cache.
