Apple launched the iPhone 14 series smartphone in September 2022. The latest iPhone series includes four new smartphones — iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Since last month, several iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users complained about a display issue with their smartphones that they were facing. The customer reports claimed that while rebooting their iPhone 14 Pro, their phone’s screen was flashing green and yellow horizontal lines. However, these reports didn’t mention any other details about the issue. Earlier, it was also unknown if Apple was looking to fix the issue or whether it was a hardware or a software problem. According to a new report by MacRumours, Apple has now acknowledged the display bug and is working on a fix to patch the issue.

The Cupertino-based tech giant has reportedly acknowledged the display issue in a new memo. The company has also revealed that this issue is a software problem and not a hardware defect. Apple has even confirmed that the bug is currently being investigated by the company and it will soon roll out an iOS update to patch it.
As per the report, Apple’s memo read: “iPhone 14 Pro customers may report that when they power on or unlock their phone, they briefly see horizontal lines flash across the screen. Apple is aware of the issue and a software update is coming soon that will resolve the issue,”

Apple’s next iOS update: What to expect
Apple is currently testing the iOS 16.3 update for iPhones with developers and members of the public beta program. However, the company is not expected to roll out the next iOS update for at least several more weeks. The report claims that Apple may release the iOS 16.2.1 update, before iOS 16.3.
Last month, the company released the iOS 16.2 update that added 5G connectivity support for iPhone users in India. The iOS 16.2.1 update is expected to address the display issue in iPhone 14 Pro models.
