Even before hitting the small screen as Darna, Jane de Leon is already helping out those in need by donating basic necessities amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Kapamilya actress and her team lent a hand to Barangay San Isidro in Cainta, Rizal, according to the actress post on Instagram on March 21.

“Nagpaabot po kami ng aming tulong sa isang barangay that needed help (We lent a hand to one barangay that needed help),” she said. “Nakakataba po ng puso na makita silang masaya (It was heartwarming to see them happy).”

“I keep on praying na bigyan pa ako ng Panginoon ng sapat na lakas para patuloy na makatulong pa sa mas nakakarami. Maraming salamat po… God bless mga Kapamilya,” De Leon added.

(I keep on praying that the Lord will give me enough strength to continue helping out even more people. Thank you very much, God bless Kapamilya.)

De Leon was able to stay true to her word as she continues to help out the most affected sectors of society, as seen on her latest Instagram post yesterday, March 26.

“[Every day] is a new day. [Every day] is a new chance para makatulong. And everyday is a new opportunity para makapagdulot ng ngiti sa puso. Kaya natin ‘to, Kapamilya,” she said.

(Every day is a new day. Every day is a new chance to help thers. And every day is a new opportunity to bring joy to others’ hearts. We can do this, Kapamilya.)

De Leon is just one of the many celebrities including Angel Locsin, Sarah Lahbati, Loonie, Anne Curtis and Pokwang who are doing what they can to help out fellow Filipinos during this pandemic.  /ra
