Jeremy Clarkson and his Hawkstone Lager company have appeared to take a cheeky swipe at Boris Johnson in the wake of the No. 10 garden party scandal in a short clip posted on Instagram. The Clarkson’s Farm star’s brand uploaded a tongue in cheek video to its official social media channel, which saw a box of his homemade lager being packaged up to send to the PM’s London address.

His Hawkstone Lager account posted the cheeky video of a member of staff expertly packaging up bottles of his beer in view of their 42,400 followers.

Working to the tune of someone casually whistling in the background, the camera panned the scene as the pair of hands secured the box firmly shut.

Panning in, the delivery address on the box was revealed to be that of the PM.

It read: “B Johnson, 10 Downing Street, London, SW1A 2AA.”

According to a leaked email, Downing Street staff were invited to a garden party at No. 10 during the first lockdown.

In an email invite from the Prime Minister’s private secretary Martin Reynolds, staff were urged to bring their own drinks.

The reported email, which was allegedly sent to over 100 members of staff, urged them to “make the most of the lovely weather”.

The email from Reynolds to Number 10 staffers reportedly said: “‘Hi all, after what has been an incredibly busy period it would be nice to make the most of the lovely weather and have some socially distanced drinks in the No10 garden this evening.

“Please join us from 6pm and bring your own booze!”

At the time, coronavirus rules meant that only two people were permitted to socialise outside while remaining two metres apart.

On the same day, culture secretary Oliver Dowden used a Downing Street press conference to remind the nation of the restrictions.

He said that people could “meet one person outside of your household in an outdoor, public place provided that you stay two metres apart”.
