Joe Sugg, 31, has travelled with his friends to Cape Town, South Africa, and he shared a series of snaps of the sunny destination via Instagram. On Thursday, Joe posted a picture of himself sunbathing while looking out to the turquoise ocean and bright blue sky.

The former Strictly Come Dancing finalist also reposted a clip of himself playing a ball game on the beach with three of his friends.

Joe’s trip comes after his girlfriend Dianne Buswell, 33, flew solo to her native Australia to spend Christmas with her family.

The dancer took to Instagram in the days after the Strictly final to share snaps from her luxury flight, complete with comfy seats and champagne.

While many fans shared their excitement for the dancer, others shared their concern at noticing Joe was not with her.

Kara probed: “Where’s @joe_sugg?”

Danielle added: “Are you and @joe_sugg still together?”

While Jo commented: “Poor Joe left on his own.”

Similar comments were also shared in Dianne’s follow-up posts as she documented the Christmas period which she spent with her family.

They made it all the way to the final before losing out to Stacey Dooley and her partner Kevin Clifton – who also ended up together and are expecting their first baby.

After being together for more than four years, Dianne said she never thought she would find love with a celebrity partner on the show but the “stars aligned” when she met Joe.

She told Express.co.uk: “We’re just literally such similar people in so many ways. We’re very different in ways too, but just our personalities just click so, so well.

“I always think it’s so weird how we met and I feel like everything was just aligned in the right place, right time for both of us. It was pretty special.”
