It is not every day that you get to witness a title song from a cult movie being featured in a mega-hit Netflix series. Karan Johar has had many feathers of success added to his cap, the latest as per reports is a cover version of one of the songs from his all-time hit film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, which is going to be featured in season 2 of the period show Bridgerton on Netflix. The Hindi song which features Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan will have an orchestrated version being played in this Shonda Rhimes production. The cover song for the same has been put together by Kris Bowers.
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham has gone down in the history of box-office records with its stupendous collection of 136 crores back when it was released in 2001. The film had an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, and Kareena Kapoor. The song picked to be featured in the Netflix original was penned in the Hindi film by Jatin-Lalit, lyrics given by Sameer and voiced by the legendary singer, Late Lata Mangeshkar.
