Lenovo Unveil Revamped Lineup of Legion Pro Gaming Laptops, Tower Desktops and Gaming Monitors

CES 2023 sees the showcase of another revamped gaming lineup, this time courtesy of Lenovo.

At the popular event taking place in Las Vegas, the company announced a refresh for its Lenovo Legion Pro gaming laptops. Furthermore, Lenovo also unveiled the new Legion Tower desktops and Legion gaming monitors as well.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new gaming products announced by Lenovo at CES 2023.

Lenovo Legion Pro 7i and Lenovo Legion Pro 7 Gaming Laptops

At CES 2023, the standout gaming laptop from Lenovo is the 16-inch Legion Pro 7i and Legion Pro 7, which features the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors or AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series Laptop GPUs.

Thanks to Lenovo Legion’s ColdFront 5.0 with Hybrid Thermals, players can game harder than ever. When it comes to the displays, the gaming laptops feature 16:10 WQXGA 2560×1600 panels, with refresh rate of up to 240Hz. Plus, you also get per-key RGB customizable lighting, with Lenovo Legion TrueStrike keyboard. Finally, with 99.99Whr Super Rapid Charge, power your batteries faster than ever.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i with Intel Core processors will debut at $1999 in March 2023. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Pro with AMD processors will start at €2699, and it will be available from April 2023.

Lenovo Legion Pro 5i and Lenovo Legion Pro 5

Similarly, Lenovo is also refreshing its 16-inch Legion Pro 5i and Pro 5 lineup with 13th Gen Intel Core or AMD Ryzen 7000 Series and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU.

Just like the Legion Pro 7i and Pro 7, the lower range from Lenovo comes with many of the same features such as the display, keyboard, charging and more. Plus, it also comes with the Lenovo LA AI chip just like the higher price range gaming laptops, as it powers the Lenovo AI Engine+ for more performance output while gaming.

While the Pro 7i and Pro 7 is only available in Onyx Black, users will also get the option to choose the Abyss Blue colorway for the Pro 5i and Pro 5.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i with Intel Processors will start at $1479, and it will be available from April 2023. Similarly, the Legion Pro arrives in the same month, with a starting price of $1459.

Lenovo has also showcased the new 34L Lenovo Legion Tower 7i and the 26L Lenovo Legion Tower 5i and Lenovo Legion Tower 5 desktop PCs.

Just like the Lenovo Legion gaming laptops, the i variant will offer the latest 13th Gen Intel Core desktop processors alongside the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs. The Lenovo Tower 5 on the other hand will have AMD Ryzen 7000 series desktop processor, with either the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series or AMD Radeon RX 7000 series graphics.

The larger Legion Tower 7i will offer up to 64GB of 5600Mhz DDR5 RAM, compared to the 32GB 5600Mhz DDR5 RAM in the smaller variant. With regards to storage, the former can have up to 6TB (3x 2TB SSD) along with a 1200W PSU to power the PC. The Legion Tower 5i and Legion Tower 5 on the other hand has up to 2x 1TB SSD with an 850W 90% modular PSU.

Regarding port selection, while the Legion Tower 7i has “4x USB-A 3.2 ports, 2x USB-A 2.0 ports, 1 USB-C (20Gbps) and 1 USB-A 3.2 (10Gbps) port, as well as an RJ45 and stereo audio jacks,” the 26L desktops have “two easy access USB-A 3.2 (5Gbps) ports and one combo audio jack on the front.”

The Lenovo Legion Tower 7i will be available from April 2023, with a starting price point of $2479. When it comes to the Legion Tower 5i, these desktop PCs will ship April 2023 at a starting cost of $1199. The Legion Tower 5 will be available from May 2023, with the price beginning at $1299.

27-inch Lenovo Legion Gaming Monitors

Lenovo has also debuted two gaming monitor models in the Lenovo Legion Y27qf-30 and Lenovo Legion Y27f-30, which come with Eyesafe Certified 2.0 Natural Low Blue Light technology. This helps with reducing eyestrain on users during long usage.

The Legion Y27qf-30 has a QHD 2560×1440 display with a 0.5ms response time, compared to Lenovo Legion Y27f-30’s FHD 1920×1080 panel. The former has a refresh rate of 240Hz, which can further be overclocked to 250Hz. Similarly, the monitor is VESA-certified HDR 400, and it also comes with a 2x 3W speakers as well.

On the other side, the Legion Y27f-30’s panel has 113% sRGB, 90.7% DCI-P3 color gamut, Delta E ≦2 color accuracy, and VESA certified HDR 400 as well, and this helps provide a brilliant experience for players while gaming.

Regarding price, the model with the QHD panel starts at $599, while the FHD variant will cost $399. Both models will be available from May 2023.
