Lenovo on Tuesday launched its latest flagship smartphone dubbed as Lenovo Z5 Pro GT. The main highlight of the smartphone is Snapdragon 855 SoC. It is the world’s first smartphone powered by the Qualcomm’s latest flagship SoC launched earlier this month. The Snapdragon 855 comes with a Snapdragon X50 modem to enable 5G connectivity. Apart from the new 7nm Qualcomm processor, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT also boost up to 12GB RAM option. The Lenovo Z5 pro GT doesn’t have any notch on the front for selfie camera and other sensors, it features a sliding design with a slider manual mechanism that houses dual-front facing cameras pop-out along with the bunch of sensors.
Lenovo Z5 Pro GT Price and Availability
The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT comes with the price tag of Yuan 2,698 ($ 287/ Rs. 27,700 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant, Yuan 2,998 ($ 330/ Rs. 30,800 approx.) for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage option, Yuan 3,398 ($/ Rs. 41,100 approx.) for the 8GB RAM with 256 storage option, and finally the top-end 12GB RAM with 512GB storage variant costs Yuan 4,398 ($/ Rs. 45,100 approx.). The smartphone will be available for pre-orders in China starting January 15, and will go on sale starting January 24. It will be made available only in Carbon Black colour option.
Lenovo Z5 Pro GT specifications
The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT runs on ZUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie operating system. It sports a 6.39” Full HD+ (1080 × 2340 pixels) 19.5:9 Super AMOLED display with 95.06% screen-to-body ratio and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass on top. As mentioned above, the smartphone is powered by up to 2.84GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. It offers 6GB/8GB of RAM with 128GB internal storage, 8GB of RAM with 256GB internal storage, and 12GB of RAM with 512 internal storage options. There is no external storage slot on the device.
For photography, the Lenovo Z5 ProGT comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 16MP primary camera with Sony IMX519 sensor and f/1.8 aperture and a 24MP secondary camera with Sony IMX576 sensor, f/1.8 aperture along with LED flash support, HDR, PDAF, AI scene recognition and super night scene mode. It is also capable of 4K video shooting and 1080p video shooting at 120 fps. On the front, it has a 16MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP IR Camera for IR face recognition to accurately unlocking the phone in dim-light.
The Lenovo Z5 Pro is fuelled by a 3350mAh battery with fast charging support. Connectivity options include Dual SIM support, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. There is also an In-display fingerprint sensor on the phone. It measures 155.12×73.04×9.3mm and weighs 210 grams.
