They are also known for releasing Year in Reviews that divide films of the year in various categories according to the votes casted by the members. Highest Rated Movie

There were over 227 million ratings that were cast by Letterboxd members in 2022. Everything Everywhere All At Once won the category against the likes of Kadaisi Vivasayi and Marcel the Shell with Shoes on.

Most Popular Movie

Letterboxd doesn’t measure movies just by ratings, it also takes lists, likes, logs and noise for the films in consideration too. According to them, popular movie topics of 2022 were detectives, dinosaurs and vikings. The Batman won this category against the likes of Jackass Forever and Don’t Look Up.

Women Directors

In their 2022 highest rated list of 50 movies, there were eight women directors, which was lower from 2021, nine. Charlotte Wells won this category for her work in Aftersun. Juliana Vicente got second for Racionais MC’s: From the Streets of Sao Paulo and Olivia Wilde got third for her work in Don’t Worry Darling.
