LG has announced a signature edition ceramic build premium smartphone for the South Korean market. The LG Signature Edition is an exclusive V30 made specifically for its premium users. The smartphone comes with a hefty price tag of 2 million won (Rs 1,17,974 approx.) LG is making only 300 units of the device and it will go on sale later this month.
The LG Signature Edition sports a Zirconium Ceramic-made shell that is touted to be scratch-proof, however, it is still prone to cracks. It comes in Black and White colour options. Also, LG is providing an option to let customers have their names engraved on the back of the smartphone. LG is also offering special after-sales customer service and a premium package that includes special Bang & Olufsen earphones and Bluetooth headphones.
Talking about specifications, the smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and sports a 6” OLED FullVision QHD+ (1440×2880 pixels) display. The smartphone is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC that is powering the LG V30. It offers 6GB RAM and 256GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.
For photography, it comes with dual camera setup at the back which includes a 16MP Standard Angle (F1.6 / 71°) camera along with a 13MP Wide Angle (F1.9/ 120°) shooter. On the front, there is a 5MP wide-angle camera with F2.2 aperture.
The smartphone is powered by a 3300mAh battery that supports Qi wireless charging. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0 with BLE, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0 with compatibility for USB Type-C 3.1. it measures 151.7 x 75.4 x 7.6mm and weighs 189 grams.
