Lisa Kudrow admits Friends co-stars’ bodies triggered her own ‘jarring’ weight issues | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV
Lisa shared the screen with Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel Green, and Courteney Cox, who portrayed Monica Geller.
She went on to reveal that comparing herself with her co-stars created doubts about her weight.
Lisa added in an interview on the Podcrushed podcast: “It was just seeing myself on the show and seeing myself in clothes and seeing Courteney and Jennifer in clothes.”
The Emmy Award winning actress explained that initially she put the differences down to tailoring skills, however, she soon realised “it’s not just about tailoring.”
Lisa continued: “And I’m not trying to say I was overweight either. I was not. I just had no idea about the shape of my actual body.”
But Lisa has since overcome her insecurities and started accepting her body the way it is.
She concluded: “I just realised, ‘Oh, no—it’s okay. This is just what I look like. That’s okay.
“‘Do what you need to do to be healthy, but this is your body and it’s okay.’”
