Magic Leap One AR headset is now Available to buy

Magic Leap has finally launched much awaited and long talked augmented reality product ‘Magic Leap One Creator Edition’  for the developer, creator or explorer. The AR headset comes with a premium price tag of $ 2295.

According to CNET, a ‘Pro’ version of the kit which comes with an extra hub cable and some kind of rapid replacement service would cost an extra $495.

One of the rare startups having investors like Google, Alibaba and Andreessen Horowitz in its list has raised around $2.3 billion according to Crunchbase.

With its first-ever product, the company is asking buyers to provide zip code at its website if interested and willing to shed premium for the product of future. The computing paradigm is set to witness a shift and developers and content creators would act as factors of change in the “spatial computing” universe.

The kit will provide Magic Leap One Lightwear goggles, Control, Lightpack, a one-year limited warranty and an optional shoulder strap. It is powered by an Nvidia system-on-chip tech, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and a battery lasting 3 hours with uninterrupted Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB-C connectivity.

At this stage, headset is only available only in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco (Bay Area) and Seattle reported CNET. Magic Leap had said that “many” product would be made available on more locations in next few months.
