Ten Hag has been at Ajax since 2017 and transformed the club, helping them to two Eredivisie titles and making the team competitive on the European stage as well.
When asked about whether he was a keen admirer of the 52-year-old’s work at the Johan Cruijff, Rangnick replied: “I don’t know him, to start with, as a person, but obviously I’ve seen the development that Ajax have took since he was there.
“I also know a little bit about his work that he did when he was with Bayern Munich and that he’s one of the top coaches in Europe, it’s obvious, but there are a few other top coaches in Europe.
“As I said, we haven’t spoken about any new managers so far and therefore we didn’t speak about him.”
