Man Utd transfer news LIVE: Harry Kane plan, Chelsea frustration, second deal close | Football | Sport
Despite the pursuit of Wout Weghorst, Manchester United are reportedly hoping to end a ‘six-year search’ for a striker over the summer by signing a marquee striker.
According to ESPN, Tottenham star Harry Kane is among the considerations at Old Trafford, who will be in the final year of his contract in north London when the summer transfer window opens.
With Manchester City signing Erling Haaland and Liverpool acquiring Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo recently, United feel that they could be the ‘most attractive’ option for Kane if he decides to leave Spurs.
Napoli star Vicor Osimhen and Red Bull Salzburg star Benjamin Sesko are also on United’s shortlist, though the latter may prove a tricky target given that he is set to join Leipzig at the end of the season.
