Matt Dawson urges royal fans to ‘separate’ concerns about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV
Following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s increased media exposure as they promote their Netflix docuseries and the duke’s memoir, Spare, the couple have divided opinions across the world.
Although they have received backlash from their usual critics such as Piers Morgan and Dan Wootton, they made a good impression on former rugby union player, Matt Dawson.
Matt chatted to Express.co.uk following the release of Harry and Meghan on Netflix and urged viewers to “separate” their concerns about the couple.
He said: “We all want to know what they are like, so why don’t we just see what they are like.
“It is what it is, but at least it’s in their voice. We are obviously all interested in it and we are getting those little nuggets that we wouldn’t have known before, so it has definitely served its purpose.

“Let’s separate, you know, let’s not worry about the deal and what their life is now.
“We are interested, and the nature of us and the royal family is that we want to know what is going on.
“We are getting told from the horse’s mouth, so let’s embrace it and take it on board.”
He added that he did have his apprehensions before watching the documentary, but that one line from Meghan “completely” changed his perception.
As it was with their previous outings, Sue will be at the helm with Matt and Phil as team captains.
