Meizu is working on next flagship smartphone – the Meizu 16, which is expected to launch next month. Recently, Meizu CEO revealed that the Meizu 16 will be launched on 26th August and is expected to be available right after the launch.
Ahead of the official launch, today we have got first official posters along with the training PPT of the smartphone. As per the leaked poster, the upcoming Meizu 16 will feature a bezel-less display with almost no bezels on the sides and extremely thin top and bottom ones. The poster also reveals the presence of an in-display fingerprint scanner and mBack button which could be side mounted.
What we find fishy, that one of the poster says the phone will be launched on 8.8.2018 whereas Meizu CEO Jack Wong has revealed that smartphone will announce on August 26th. Anyways, moving forward to the specifications. The Meizu M16 will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. It will offer 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage options.
For photography, the Meizu 16 comes equipped with a 16MP Sony IMX380 sensor with 1.55μm pixel size,four-axis optical image stabilization, laser and phase focus, and 3X lossless zoom. It has a thickness of 7.3mm and weight 152g.
As for pricing, the Meizu 16 will be priced at Yuan 2399 ($354/ Rs. 24413 approx.) for 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage option, Yuan 2699 ($398/ Rs. 27466 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant and the top-end 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage options will be priced at Yuan 2999 ($442/ Rs. 30511 approx.).
